Timothy Dorje Wu started Planet Dorje in 2022 as a way to become a more creative person. Planet Dorje serves as a place for him to journal his thoughts and ideas on things that excite Dorje about the world – Asian cultures, the environment, policy and law, and data privacy. A native of Northern Virginia, Dorje’s interests have largely stemmed from growing up near the nation’s capital. The region’s diversity and cosmopolitan reputation fostered his multicultural perspective. Weekly trips to the National Zoo in his childhood developed his passion for the environment. And the DC area’s immersion in politics, government, and national security brought up his dedication to law and data privacy.
Dorje is currently a grad student at Yale, where he also went for undergrad earning degrees in economics and environmental studies. After Yale, he intends to go to law school to study property and environmental law.
